About

Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Wendell Riley has a BSc in Marketing and an MBA. He is currently the Executive Director of Robinson Film Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit art house cinema. He also hosts the podcast Freshwater Yankee, which focuses on culture across countries and regions. Before joining RFC, Wendell worked in the animation and film industries in Shreveport, Louisiana, serving as a Production Manager and Producer. In 2018, he was nominated for a Creative Arts Emmy Award for his work on The Boy Who Learned to Fly, an animated project chronicling the early life of Usain Bolt. Wendell also served as the Director of Media and External Relations at Louisiana State University Shreveport and currently serves on the boards of directors for the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities and the Shreveport Symphony Orchestra.
