The Strand Theatre is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit performing arts organization located in the heart of downtown Shreveport, Louisiana. Known as the State Theatre of Louisiana, The Strand’s mission is to manage cultural events while preserving this historic landmark for future generations. Since reopening in 1984, The Strand has served as the region’s premier venue for professional live entertainment, presenting a carefully curated season of Broadway productions, concerts, family programming, comedians, and special events. In addition, The Strand welcomes a wide variety of rental events, including dance recitals, ballets, community performances, and touring productions. With something for every age and interest, The Strand Theatre continues to be a vibrant cultural cornerstone for Northwest Louisiana.
