Casting Call for Performa 2025 Biennial Performance by Regina José Galindo. Dates: Monday, November 10 2025 (afternoon rehearsal) Wednesday, November 12 2025 (performance), 6-8 PM. Location: Americas Society, 680 Park Ave, New York, NY 10065. Performers: Seeking 9 performers with strong control and agility in their arms. Performers must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver objects confidently. Open to all genders, ages (18 +) and backgrounds. Prior experience in live performance is a plus. Ideal candidates will have a high level of physical training and the ability to work collectively. This work by Regina José Galindo is a Performa Project for the Performa 2025 Biennial. Regina José Galindo is a visual artist and poet, whose main medium is performance. Galindo lives and works in Guatemala, using its own context as a starting point to explore and accuse the ethical implication of social violence and injustices related to gender and racial discrimination, as well as human rights abuses arising from the endemic inequalities in power relations of contemporary societies. Galindo received the Golden Lion for Best Young Artist in the 51st Biennial of Venice (2005) among many other prizes and exhibited solo and collectively all around the world in major museums and international exhibitions.
