Uncool Artist Residency: A Unique Experience for Artists Since 2018, UAR has offered an international art residency program, in-person in Brooklyn, NY, and online. Prioritizing emerging and underrepresented artists, our program fosters collaboration, experimentation, and shared experiences. With over 15 years of artistic practice and education expertise, we provide critical mentorship, curated exhibitions, and flexible structures tailored to each participant's goals. Starting Spring 2025, UAR transitions to a hybrid model, blending online sessions with an annual curated group exhibition and an optional in-person studio practice in Brooklyn. This approach offers a more immersive and accessible way for you to explore new artistic directions while connecting with a global art community.
