About

I’m Leilani Zobel, a fine artist who discovered my passion during the COVID-19 lockdowns. Coloring books first brought me comfort, and over time, that simple practice grew into a love for drawing, detail, and the expressive beauty of animals. I believe God guided me to art during that challenging season and blessed me with the talent, peace, and purpose I continue to create with today. I specialize in colored pencil portraits of wildlife and pets, capturing the unique spirit and stories of each animal I portray. We are a military family—my husband served 21 years—and after his retirement, we chose to make the Bossier-Shreveport area our home. We love it here! Our family includes three wonderful kids, along with our dogs, cats, and chickens, who keep life joyful and full of inspiration. Instagram: @leilanizobel

Artist Statement

I create colored pencil portraits of wildlife and pets to honor the quiet stories they carry. Animals touch our lives with honesty and emotion, and I’m driven by a desire to capture that connection. Through careful detail and soft layers of color, I aim to reveal their spirit—the story in their eyes, the strength in their posture, and the individuality that makes each one unforgettable. Each drawing is my tribute to the bond we share with animals, whether they walk beside us as companions or inspire us from the wild. I hope my work brings comfort, joy, and a deeper appreciation for the beautiful souls we share this world with.
