Artist Statement
My work celebrates the deep connection between Black womanhood and the natural world. Through bold color, organic forms, and faceless figures, I explore identity, growth, and self-reflection. The absence of some facial features allows each viewer to see themselves within the work to find familiarity, strength, and softness in the shapes and hues.
I am inspired by the earth, her textures, her resilience, her quiet beauty, and by the women who mirror those same qualities. My paintings are an offering: a space for recognition, grounding, and empowerment. I use vibrant, earthy palettes to express both the rawness and radiance of femininity, and to honor the spiritual bond between women and nature.
Each piece is a reminder that we are rooted, evolving, and divine shaped by the soil that holds us and the light that sustains us.
