Amanda Bosley

My name is Amanda Bosley and for over 40 years I have been creating and interpreting art. Currently you can find my parasols in Shreveport at the beautiful Agora Borealis and also at the lovely shop Zele NOLA in New Orleans. I am a mix media artist who specializes in creating parasols and headdresses. I have worked with the Shreveport Reginal Arts Council indirectly for years. I started panting in Shreveport around 2006 and began dabbling in body paint in 2007. By 2014 I was asked to be a part of the Wayne White Puppet Parade and I started working for Christmas in the Sky as a performer in 2012 "Apocalypse Wow" as the "Fat Lady". Every year after that I worked on the hair and makeup crew designing headdresses and accessories for the characters. Due to having a degree in Theater from Ohio University I landed a makeup artist job on projects for Seratones Cira 2015 for the music video "Necromancer", and in the same year for Abigail Kruger promoting her dance video then Abigail and I found ourself working together again on the 2020 Louisiana Fil Prize film "Green's Alley". I have been in a few short and feature length films and do voice over work as well.
