She attended two performing arts schools growing up . One in Shreveport, Louisiana by the name of Green Oaks Performing Arts high school in the neighborhood of Cooper road USA and Washington Preparatory high in Los Angeles , California. She studied disciplines of movement in contemporary dance as well as Theatre in grade school. Luredena’s work reflects her life as a disabled black woman living in the deep south. "My story is one of resilience , bravery, long suffering , patience , forgiveness, empathy and resolve . I lost my grandmother at a young age and experienced grief like a boat without a paddle. My grandmother's passing sparked feelings that at the time couldn’t find the language but manifested into mental turmoil that gave birth to a deeper understanding of the importance of being able to convey deep, gut wrenching feelings that words can barely aid in description. Although I have a better relationship with grief, I do not have the fairytale life of being close with blood relatives, which im starting to see an uprising in people separating from blood relatives. Experiencing homelessness while carrying multiple invisible illnesses like sickle cell anemia and depression, I was starting to see how important COMMUNITY is. Out of all the words in the world this by far is my favorite word. These cards that I was dealt have been worth the while due to our human clutch to cultivate community in times of human despair . That’s my story ."
