Barnaby Blue — also known as their online moniker, barnaBEBOP — is a multi-talented artist that uses bright colors, surrealist imagery, and cartoony proportions to convey the thoughts and feelings that rattle through their noggin. With the use of digital illustration, animation, design, and sprinkles of physical media, like clay, collage, and paint, they explore a wide array of subject matter in their work that all conveys a sense of whimsy. Blue emphasizes caricatured expressions and poses in order to make the viewer feel what their character is feeling. They strive to make the world a more fun, loving, and weird place with their work.
When not in the studio, they can be found doodling on index cards, rewatching the same cartoons endlessly, and trying to befriend stray cats.
