I started in the medical field working (ICU) intensive care and (CCU) cardiac care units. I also served full time as a police tactical operations dual-purpose K9 officer. Having a trauma medical background I had numerous opportunities to treat injured officers, victims and suspects. After retiring from both careers, I began to write from the experiences I had been involved in on the streets and then started working on short stories for children.

Artist Statement

God has directed my path through both careers. I write to inspire the imagination of young children and allow them to see in their mind scenes as if they were right in the middle of the story. My short stories have an interaction between the people, animals and nature.
